Rollercoaster
Up and down is what I am these days, probably thanks to sporadic taking of medication and a little pressure in my life that should soon dissipate to make room for something more.. happy.
Let’s see. What did I do today?
Thunderage
We’re having inclement weather. First, there was a tornado watch. Then, thunderstorms. I wanted to go to bed (see how far I made it?), but I like to let the dogs out first. I could not find Molly (the schnauzer) to save my life.
Whenever I can’t find Molly, it has to dawn on me that there must be thunder going on. She’s terrified of it.
I finally found her under the couch. There is a crawl space underneath, just barely big enough for her. I had to MOVE the couch to get her to come out, after several mentions of “cookies” and just asking nicely.. not doing the trick.
I had to actually GO outside, walk down the stairs and into the backyard to get them to do anything valuable, like PEE.
At least it wasn’t pouring rain at the time.
The air is so thick outside, you could cut it with a knife. It’s just one of the many weather pleasures in Nebraska. $10 says it’s cool in the morning and very low humidity. Hence the tornado warnings.
More Photographs
My daughter and I took a walk, and this is what we saw along the way (click the picture for more pictures):

Some photos from the backyard. Spring is here, or Summer, as the case may be.
The Week Ahead
I sometimes check Johnathan Canier’s website for my horoscope. It’s silly, I know. How can one horoscope apply to millions of people? Because… it’s vaguely written, but oh so well:
“Have you got a difficult week ahead? Should you be preparing yourself for stress, struggle, tension and trouble? Absolutely not! The planets are offering you strength and support. You will receive this all the more swiftly if you adopt a more optimistic attitude. Difficulties find it much easier to make their way into our lives when they realise that we are busily preparing for them. Work on the assumption that you face nothing you can’t cope with… and you will rapidly find that it is true. “
A Meme

Consider yourself tagged.
It turns out
that the stuff worth a big dog rolling around in is a very old yogurt wrapper. It was coated with really old, ungodly stinky yogurt that had been dwelling in the 80F sun for … well… quite awhile OR so long that it smelled like a dead animal.
Ginger came in the house with part of the wrapper impaled on her dog collar. I got some of the yucky yogurt stuff on my hands. It took two washings of bleach to get the small off my hands. Two!
Then the dog went into the shower for TWO baths.
They need to make stronger dog shampoo.
Sick Day
The Little Kid woke up sick this morning with a temperature of around 100F (anyone seen any one of our two digital thermometers? Me, either… we had to use the forehead one.) Last night, she threw up her dinner.
This seems to be a trend at school today. It may be food- related. Who knows.
Then, I started feeling a little sick myself.
TLK dressed up in her best clothes today… dress… hosiery.. jewelery.. sequin headband. I have no idea why. She put on her Easter shoes and we went to the grocery for chicken noodle soup and some other essentials.
We’re feeling better now, but not 100%, by any means.
It was at least nice to have a day off work, and it is quite nice outside… sunny.. in the upper 70’sF…
How was your day?
P.S. Your brownies are ready
